VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS STANDARDS FOR IDAHO

 - a workable revision from the draft document produced Spring 1994 by arts professionals meeting at the Idaho State Department of Education.

All students will:

1. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the cultural and historical contexts and interrelationships of the arts and humanities disciplines among various cultures.

2. The student will conduct structural analysis, engage in reasoned dialogue, and demonstrate informed judgment about philosophical, aesthetics, or ethical arts issues.

3. The student will communicate in the humanities disciplines through application and creative expression.
