Community Bicycle Congress
Exploring transportation alternatives for Boise State University and beyond!
Welcome!
Fifth Community Bicycle Congress: A Statewide Conference on Active Transportation
Boise State Student Union
Bishop Barnwell Room
April 23, 2009
Four years ago, the Community Bicycle Congress was conceived as a source of technical guidance for transportation planners and decision makers. The project has been research-centered, offering four symposia of professional research with emphasis on urban in-street bicycle facilities and, to a lesser extent, safe routes to school in the urban context.
In 2009, the Bicycle Congress will become a gathering of organizations and people who advocate for walking and bicycling in Idaho - a Statewide Conference on Active Transportation.
Objectives of the Statewide Conference will be to promote networking and information sharing; to begin developing a comprehensive view of what's been accomplished around Idaho in the interest of muscle-powered transportation, and of what needs remain unmet; and to begin chartering a statewide organization for pathway advocacy.
Please register here, to help us have sufficient seating. The conference is free and open to the public.
