Getting Started as a Bicycle Commuter: Route 1
West Boise to Campus:
7:00 a.m.- Riders convene at Friends' Church parking lot, intersection of Goddard and Glenwood. This is not a Park-n-Ride facility, plan to arrive via bicycle.
7:05 a.m.- Depart, turning right onto Goddard
Cross Glenwood and continue along Mountain View, crossing Cole Road
at Kelly Way, turn right (7:10)
at Ustick, right turn
at McKinney, cross Ustick
Continue on McKinney
at Pomona, left turn (7:14)
at Esquire, right turn
at Northview, left turn
at Hartmann, right turn
at Lubkin, left turn (7:20)
at Curtis frontage road turn south to Plymouth
at Plymouth, cross Curtis Road continue to Mountain View
at Mountain View, right turn (7:24)
continue onto Fowler
at Bond Street, left turn
at Orchard Street, right turn
continue across Fairview
at Kendall, cross Orchard and access Greenbelt (7:28)
on Greenbelt, continue to Friendship Bridge and cross, arriving on campus at about 7:45 a.m.
Return Options:
- Arrange a time to meet your friends at Memorial Plaza and bicycle home together.
- Bike downtown to Valley Ride Bus Zone 2 (Main at 8th). Bus route #10, Hill Road/Maple Grove, departs hourly from 12:45 until 5:45 p.m. Only this route serves the original point of departure.
