About Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field that applies engineering concepts to medicine and biology. This new doctoral program aims to produce researchers who can work seamlessly across disciplines to develop innovative solutions to improve human healthcare and well-being. This program currently has four specialized tracks of study: biomaterials, biomechanics, human performance, and mechanobiology. Learn more about degree requirements, funding, and how to apply.
