Concurrent Enrollment and College English Composition Orientation
for High School English Teachers
Please join us for an in-depth look at English 101 for Concurrent Credit at Boise State University.
Dr. Heidi Estrem, Director, First-Year Writing Program, will be hosting an orientation session for high school English teachers who are interested in reviewing the process for having high school courses considered as dual enrollment first-year college writing course English 101 for both high school and college credit.

This workshop will offer a detailed overview of English 101, including course goals, common curricular components, sample assignments, and expectations for students and instructors. Expect lively conversation, lots of materials, and some time to begin considering whether an English 101 course is the right fit for your particular high school.
This invitation is for high school English teachers with a Master’s degree in English or a closely related field (Composition and Rhetoric, Literacy Studies, or Curriculum, for example) who are interested in teaching English 101 for Concurrent Credit with Boise State University. Financial assistance is provided for high schools to get the classes started and then continues on an annual basis.
