The Holy Roman Empire in 1300

Other significant powers in the Empire included Luxemburg, Mecklenburg, Saxony, Brandenburg, Savoy, and the Rhenish Palatinate. Each of these had a role to play on the larger political scene at one time or another, but none were consistently important in the way that Bavaria or Austria or Bohemia were. Of these secondary powers, only Brandenburg emerged as historically significant, and that not until well after our course is over.
