Probate inventory of a rural laborer

An inventory of the goods and chattels and cattle of Batholomew Burch, late of Shaddoxhurst in the county of Kent, deceased, taken and apprised by use whose names are hereunto subscribed the day and year above written:
- Item in the hall: one table, one cupboard, one kneading trough, ten chairs, a pair of pothangers, a pair of tongs, a grid iron, a salt box
- Item in the milk-house: five tongs, six bowls, three platters, a pair of scales
- Item in the hall-chamber: one bed and bedstead, three bolsters, four blankets, one coverlet, one truckle bed, one linen treadle, one woollen treadle, four chests
- Item in the drink-house: three tubs, two barrels, and other old lumber and a churn
- Item: one hay-cutter, one hand-saw, and a mattock
- Item: boards and shelves and old lumber
- Item without doors: wood and hay and butts
- Item: three cows
- Item: one hog
- Item: one birding-piece
- Item: things unseen and forgotten
