Biography

Mary earned her BA at Boise State in Communication and her MA and PhD from the University of Iowa in Communication Research. As an Associate Professor, Mary taught over 25 different courses at Boise State between 1992 and 2004. In 2004, she left academia to start an organic farm. Between 2012-2015, Mary was the Dean of Social Sciences and Public Affairs at College of Western Idaho. She returned to her favorite university in 2015 and has been advising the department’s students ever since. When not at work, Mary likes to cheer on a favorite team, listen to music, garden, fly fish or bike the Greenbelt and Boise foothills.
