Course Admission and Registration
Students who want to take a computer-based multimedia course must complete the following steps.
Professional Education (in-service or continuing education) Credit
Earning professional education credit toward teacher recertification or a pay-raise, check with your certifying agency to determine if credits will meet your district's and/or state requirements. These courses are graded Pass/Fail, graduate level, and appear on transcript with a 553 course number.
- Apply: complete the Professional Education Credit Admission Form. Once admission process is complete, you will be notified, in 5-10 days, with a letter regarding registration instructions.
- Register: after receiving acceptance letter, use BroncoWeb to search, select, and enroll in a class.
- Returning Student: If it has been longer than two full years (six semesters) since attending Boise State, welcome back . . . please complete the Professional Education Credit Admission Form.
- Been away less than 2 years? Your BroncoWeb account should be active (you may need to reset your password) and allow you to register.
- Admission Process: View the Professional Education (in-service) and Graduate Workshop Credit

*Note: Courses taken for professional education credit, cannot later be changed to academic credit nor applied toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Choose the catalog number carefully (553 for professional credit and 494 or 594 for academic credit).
Academic Credit
Earning academic electives credit toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree or teacher recertification, check with your academic advisor to learn how credits from computer-based multimedia classes can be used. Students earn a letter grade and undergraduate (494 course number) or graduate (594 course number) credit.
- Apply: complete the Undergraduate Admission Form OR Graduate Admission Form depending on your education background. Once the admission process is complete, you will be notified, in 5-10 days, with a letter regarding registration instructions.
- Register: if accepted, you receive a letter explaining when and how you can sign-up for a course.
- Returning Student: If it has been longer than two full years (six semesters) since attending Boise State, welcome back . . . please re-enroll at Undergraduate Admissions or Graduate Admissions.
- Been away less than 2 years? Your BroncoWeb account should be active (you may need to reset your password) and allow you to register.
- Admission Process: View the Undergraduate or Graduate Academic Credit .

Registration Tips
- After being appropriately admitted, use BroncoWeb to view your Student Center and Enroll in a course.
- BroncoWeb will prompt you for the term/semester you are enrolling.
- BroncoWeb will prompt you to Enter Class Number OR Search for the class. Reference the appropriate Course Schedule (Summer 2009 or Fall 2009) to find the five digit class number OR subject and catalog number to enter.
