Computer Requirements

Computer-based multimedia classes are unique in that all course content is provided via a CD-Rom disk that is installed on a computer.

Recommended Software/Hardware

Students should ensure they have met the following computer requirements listed below, so that they have full access to course audio, video, and text files. For computer-based multimedia classes only.

Windows

  • Windows XP, Vista or newer. Version 5 or 6 courses WILL NOT run on Windows 98 or ME; please call VESi to find out which courses run on Windows 98 or ME.
  • 15" or larger color monitor with minimum resolution of 800x600px
  • 512 MB of free hard disk space
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 4x CD driver speed
  • Printer attached to your computer (required)

Macintosh

  • OSX 9.2, 10.x or newer
  • 15" or larger color monitor with minimum resolution of 800x600px
  • 512 MB of free hard disk space
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 4x CD driver speed
  • Printer attached to your computer (required)
