Computer-based Multimedia

Computer-based multimedia (CBMM) courses offer teaching professionals and students useful information in an easy-to-use format, at a pace that suits their learning style.

Three Credit Options

Computer-based multimedia courses are offered for:

  1. professional education (formerly in-service or continuing education);
  2. undergraduate credit;
  3. or graduate credit;

in conjunction with an educational vendor, Virtual Education Software, Inc. (VESi).

Relevant and Applicable Content

These courses teach techniques and strategies for use in school and classroom settings. Although designed with practicing teachers in mind, many other fields such as social services, business, health, and etc. also find course content relevant. Each course consists of reading and exams; courses taken for academic credit will also include writing assignments.

Easy-To-Use Format

There are no in-person meeting requirements. All course content is provided through a CD-Rom using audio, video, and text files designed to run directly from a personal computer. Students receive course packets through the U.S. Mail.
