Professional Education Partner: VESi
Program Overview

Boise State’s College of Education offers online courses to teaching professionals who are looking for a convenient way to earn credits toward recertification or a promotion. These courses have been developed in conjunction with Virtual Education Software, Inc. (VESi).

Online Delivery

All course content is delivered online.

  • Access courses anywhere the Internet is available.
  • Reliable, high-speed broadband Internet connection and recent Internet browser recommended.
  • Course progress saved on a secure computer system.
  • Blackboard will not be used.
  • No in-person meeting requirements.

Three Credit Options

Students may choose one of the following:

  1. Professional education (formerly in-service or continuing education).
  2. Undergraduate academic credit.
  3. Graduate academic credit (when available).

Relevant and Applicable Content

These courses teach techniques and strategies for use in school and classroom settings. Although designed with practicing teachers in mind, many other fields such as social services, business, health, and etc. also find course content relevant. Each course consists of reading and exams; courses taken for academic credit also include graded writing assignments.

Getting Started

Students enrolled in these courses will be sent an email to their BroncoMail account on or after the first day of class with information on how to log into the class. To create a personal account giving you access to the course, VESi will be given your name, email address and student ID number.
