Offered through Extended Studies

Description

Video Streaming courses are recorded in a live on-campus classroom with the instructor and students. Within a few hours, this recording is digitized and made available for distance education students on the Internet. Students taking this course at a distance are able to watch the lecture online via RealPlayer. Though the recording cannot be transferred and saved to a hard drive or disk, students have access to the lectures throughout the semester and may watch them as many times as they like.

Currently, three classes are offered via Video Streaming:

EE 410 & 510: Integrated Circuit Physical Design

CMOS IC layout, modeling, parasitic capacitance extraction, SPICE simulation. Design of static and dynamic logic gates, counters, registers, memories. Students will produce a verified layout file that can be used to build a set of photomasks for fabrication in either a foundry or in EE 440.
PREREQ: EE 322.

EE 614: Advanced Analog

Advanced analog design considerations including: noise, common-mode feedback, high-speed, design for signal processing, filter design.
PREREQ: EE 411 or 511.
