Is Distance Education right for me?

Distance Education classes require all the skills necessary to be successful in a traditional college course. In addition, students need the extra skills of self-motivation and discipline, and excellent time management. Distance Education courses typically require more time per week than do their in-person equivalents. We recommend that you plan on 3-4 hours of course work per credit per week for Distance Ed classes. For example, a 3-credit class would require 9-12 hours of your time per week.

Learn to Learn Online

If you think you have the characteristics of a good online learner but lack some of the skills, Boise State provides an online orientation, a free self-paced noncredit course, or even an online 1-credit course with an instructor and class interaction. Follow this link to find out more.
