Teaching Philosophy

I teach mostly creative writing workshops and graduate seminars, so value (require) student input in my classes. I expect students to do a lot of reading outside of class so as to contribute during the 3 hours per week we have together, and ask them to write weekly, revise, and (in poetry CW classes) read their work.
