Who Should Attend:

  • Functional department managers (accounting, HR, marketing, etc.)
  • Engineering and other technical managers
  • Production and operations managers
  • Top administrators and leaders in government and non-profits

Learning Competencies:

TSE returns you to your workplace with new insights about yourself, others, and business. You will explore methods and tools used by successful managers to anticipate, adapt, and achieve in the competitive economy. You will add skills to your leadership toolbox that will help you:

1) Understand the interdependence of organizational functions. The days of "functional silos" are gone. Effective organization have flexible people who can operate in cross-functional teams and understand that the entire organizational system creates a competitive organization. The TSE case studies and team activities sharpen your skills in creating and excelling in a collaborative environment.

2) Grasp the critical changes that affect the business environment today. Change, flexibility, customer-focus, quality, and organization learning are among the key realities in today's business environment. TSE case studies drawn from timely business conditions provide an understanding of new demands in the world economy.

3) Practice business decision-making. Poor business decisions cost organizations time and money. The TSE business simulation provides a unique opportunity to function as an "Executive Team" and experience the results of good and poor decisions.

4) Examine your own management and leadership strategies. A leader's "emotional intelligence" and awareness of his/her management style are considered key indicators of success. Through the TSE Management/Leadership Skills Assessment, you will learn more about yourself, take a deeper look at how you interact with others at work, and develop a strategy for making your interpersonal relationships more effective.

5) Network with other participants and faculty. Having a good network is invaluable. The TSE activities provide many chances to interact with leaders of various organizations and top-rated faculty.
