Gowen Field

For classes close to where you live, Boise State is proud to partner with the U.S. military to offer classes at Gowen Field.
The program at Gowen Field is open to active military, dependents, and the general public. We offer academic classes as well as support services, including advising, admission, registration, and placement testing.

The Gowen Field Boise State office is located in Building #521 at Gowen Field, which is just off Gowen Road south of the Boise airport.
Security and Access to the Gowen Field Site
Non-Military students attending classes at the Gowen Field site must submit to a security check before being allowed access to the base. Security Check Forms must be submitted for each semester you are attending classes on base.
Students wishing to have access must submit the form prior to the start of their class(es).
- Please read the Gowen Base Pass Instructions (PDF) - Procedures for non-military students and instructors to gain access to Gowen Field
- Download a Security Check Form (Word doc) and fill in the information.
- If the person does not own the vehicle, they must have a lease agreement, power of attorney, or notarized statement (example: Authorization Form [PDF] ) from the owner of the vehicle granting them permission to use the vehicle and specify the inclusive use dates.
- Once the Security Check Form is completed and saved, either:

- Take to Boise State University, Extended Studies, 220 E. Parkcenter Blvd., or the Gowen Field Office, Bldg 521.

- After Gowen Security has processed the security form, students will be notified via Bronco e-mail that their pass is ready for pick-up. Stop by the Pass and Registration Office, located at the front gate at Gowen Field, to pick up your pass. Hours are 7:00-11:30 am and Noon to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
The pass will be valid throughout the semester – Note: Students will not be allowed to attend class without it.
