Security and Access to the Gowen Field Site

Non-Military students attending classes at the Gowen Field site must submit to a security check before being allowed access to the base. Security Check Forms must be submitted for each semester you are attending classes on base.

Students wishing to have access must submit the form prior to the start of their class(es).

  1. Please read the Gowen Base Pass Instructions - Procedures for Non-military students and instructors to gain access to Gowen Field (pdf)
  2. Download a Security Check Form (Word doc) and fill in the information.
  3. If the person does not own the vehicle, they must have a lease agreement, power of attorney, or notarized statement from the owner of the vehicle granting them permission to use the vehicle and specify the inclusive use dates.
  4. Email the completed form to gowenfield@boisestate.edu. Allow five (5) business days for processing.
  5. After five days your base pass will be ready. Stop by the Pass and Registration Office, located at the front gate at Gowen Field, to pick up your pass. Hours are 7:00-11:30 am and Noon to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

The Pass and Registration Office will have extended hours one week before the beginning of the summer session and two weeks before and during the first ten (10) days of the fall and spring semesters.
The pass will be valid throughout the semester and students will not be allowed to attend class without it.

For more information about taking classes at the Gowen Field site, download the Spring 2012 Gowen Field Newsletter (pdf).
