Health Insurance Information

All International students, athletes and all full-fee paying students enrolled in 12 or more academic credit hours on the 10th day of classes will be covered under the University's Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP). If you would like more information on SHIP, visit the Student Health Center.

Apply To Waive Health Insurance    See help document

The path to follow on BroncoWeb is:
Select "Student Center"
Go to the "Finance Section"
Select "Health Waiver App"

You must submit an online waiver application for Fall and Spring semester no later than the 10th day of classes

The health insurance waiver process has just undergone an exciting revision! Starting Fall 2009 your health insurance charge will no longer be waived immediately upon application. This allows the Health & Wellness staff time to review your health insurance coverage to determine if it meets comparable coverage requirements. During this time if you select the Health Waiver App link on BroncoWeb, you will see a Pending status. Once the waiver is approved the status will be updated accordingly and the waiver will then post to your student account (for fall this will take place once fees are turned on).

If you are enrolled in fewer than 12 academic credits (excluding International students) and are not a full-fee paying student, you will not be charged for health insurance and do not need to submit a Health Insurance Declination.
