Applying for Aid

Pin Number Request

Your PIN number will be used for many years. It is from the U.S. Department of Education and is utilized in a variety of ways. These include: applying for financial aid, signing an electronic promissory note, and viewing your loan account detail. For dependent students, at least one parent will need a PIN in their name. The parent PIN is used to sign the FAFSA and to sign a Parent PLUS loan promissory note if they apply for the PLUS loan. You can...

  • request, and receive a PIN in "real-time" at: www.pin.ed.gov
  • make up a PIN
  • request a duplicate PIN
  • change your existing PIN to another number
