Boise State, College of Western Idaho and the College of Southern Idaho have established a consortium agreement. This consortium allows for credits to be combined, for financial aid purposes, when taking classes from two or three of these schools under specific circumstances. While this tip addresses those specific circumstances, the actual consortium agreement is your best resource for information.

The consortium agreement refers to the "HOME" and the "HOST" instutitions.

"Home Institution" - The institution where you are currently seeking a degree and from which you will receive federal financial aid.

"Host Institution" - The institution(s)where you are taking courses to apply towards the degree being sought at the HOME institution. This cannot be the same as the HOME institution.

The Student Certification section found on the agreement is provided below. This certification is very comprehensive regarding the eligibility requirements for students to combine their credit load for financial aid award eligibility.
