The difference between a Priority aid applicant and a Regular aid applicant could be thousands of dollars!
To be a Priority Aid Applicant, submit your 2012-2013 FAFSA and submit requested documents before your published deadlines:
February 15th for new 2012-2013 Boise State students (new freshmen and transfer students) March 15th for continuing and returning Boise State students June 1st for submitting any documents requested by Boise State through BroncoWeb Financial Aid To Do Items (tax returns, W2s, citizenship, veterans documents, and such.)
Only Priority Financial Aid Applicants are evaluated for:
Need-based scholarships (EFCs of approximately 15000 or less are considered! More info on the scholarship web site)
Extra grants
Work-study funding
Desirable Perkins loans (interest and principal payments deferred, a fixed 5% interest rate, possibility of having the loan forgiven depending on career employment!)
There are other advantages to being a Priority Aid Applicant!
By the end of March, you will see Financial Aid To Do items on BroncoWeb if you need to submit any extra documents.
As long as you submit all requested documents by June 1, and you meet all other eligibility requirements, we guarantee your fall 2011 financial aid will be in place to pay your fall fees by the fall fee payment deadline. Save yourself a $50 late fee!
Your financial aid award for the next academic year should be visible before spring semester 2012 is over.
