11:59 p.m. June 8th is a major summer deadline

The amount of your summer Pell Grant and your eligibility for summer ACG* or SMART Grant* will depend on the number of summer credits you have enrolled in by this deadline.

You may need to repay some or all of your Pell Grant if...

Your Pell Grant enrollment is frozen on June 8th. Any classes added after June 8th will not count towards determining your Pell Grant eligibility. This applies to internships, workshops, and other classes, even if the University allows you to add these credits after June 8th.

Attendance in all classes. Your Pell award is based on the assumption that you attend all of your enrolled classes. If you do not attend a class, or if you drop a class before it starts, your Pell award will be recalculated. Your student account on BroncoWeb will reflect any Pell reduction that occurs for these reasons, although you will need to allow approximately 3 business days for the aid to be adjusted.

Federal regulations for grants are very inflexible and allow no exceptions to these policies. Thus, check your BroncoWeb regularly to ensure your schedule of classes is accurate.

* ACG and SMART Grants follow the same regulations as Pell Grants, except you must be enrolled in 12 or more credits to be eligible for one of these grants. If you drop a class after one of these grants has been disbursed to you, but before the class begins, you will need to repay the entire ACG or SMART grant amount.
