Summer Pell Grant Eligibility

To be eligible for a Summer 2011 Pell Grant, you must:

We anticipate Summer 2011 to be the last summer (in the near future) for the Year Round Pell Grant. Students who received a full time Pell Grant in Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 may receive additional Pell Grant for this summer if they meet the criteria listed above. As usual, a financial aid recipient will need to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standard and all other financial aid eligibility requirements.

Examples of credit counting for Pell Grant 2

If you have been awarded a Pell Grant 2 on your BroncoWeb summer financial aid, please be aware that dropping below 6 credits or below 25 potential completed credits for the academic year, the Pell Grant 2 will be canceled. If the grant was disbursed to you previously, you will likely need to repay all of the Pell Grant. The cancellation of summer Pell Grant 2 awards may also mean that recipients of an ACG or SMART grant for summer will also have that grant canceled when you drop below 6 credits.

Disclaimer: The budget passed by Congress on April 14th had an immediate impact on how we were awarding summer 2011 financial aid. Under the best of circumstances, awarding summer aid is complex and slow. Please be patient with us and rest assured that we have our most knowledgeable summer aid experts working full time to award students before their summer classes begin.
