 Name: Shauna McConnell Job Title: SHIP Manager Services Provided/Professional Philosophy: As the SHIP manager, I assist students to learn how to make educated decisions when comparing, selecting and accessing healthcare coverage and services. I help to identify resources students may utilize to assist them. I provide advice regarding accessing services through providers/networks to receive the greatest benefits available under their plan; provide instruction regarding their benefits; help them to have a general understanding of how claims are processed, and assist to interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) so they can have the ability to empower themselves when dealing with healthcare issues. With 15 years experience in the health insurance industry, my goal is to assist our students with insurance questions, concerns and any claims issues they may have.
