![]() Name: Christina Berg Services Provided/Professional Philosophy: At Boise State University, I direct the prevention/health promotion programs and services for students and employees. This is accomplished by employing a variety of research-based strategies to prevent health-related problems, support academic success and promote personal and social responsibility for health. While carrying out these efforts, I work to incorporate a holistic philosophy towards health that honors the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of life. I also manage the marketing for Health, Wellness and Counseling Services and have the opportunity to teach and conduct health-related research.

Name: Jodi Brawley Services Provided/Professional Philosophy: As a member of the Health, Wellness and Counseling Services team, I work with Wellness Works Peer Education Program, coordinate the Employee Wellness Program and assist with a variety of health promotion/prevention activities on campus. I believe health is a personal journey and enjoy working with people regarding their journey. |
Name: Sara Torbet Services Provided/Professional Philosophy: Greetings! As the Health Educator-Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD), I work closely with students, campus departments and the local community to better ensure a safe and healthy learning environment at Boise State. Through the use of evidence-based programming, preventive initiatives, coalition work and policy review ATOD issues are addressed. Life is about choices, and I believe making healthy lifestyle choices in all areas of personal wellness: occupational, social, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental and emotional is critical to achieving optimal health. |
![]() Name: Hilary Horton-Brown Service Provided / Professional Philosophy: I believe that a healthy body, mind and spirit go hand in hand. I am here to help Boise State University students attain that health! Good nutrition is a crucial part of creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I am available on campus in a variety of capacities to help students with these lifestyles. My dietetic interns and I provide counseling for students regarding all types of diets and health needs, from general healthy nutrition to more in-depth problems such as diabetes and eating disorders. We are also available to discuss any nutrition questions you may have at weekly Q&A sessions at the Rec Center. I create lectures and seminars on current nutrition issues for all students to attend. I work closely with all of the Boise State athletic teams and coaches, helping athletes to achieve their maximum potential and to improve performance through great nutrition. I have a passion for helping people make their lives healthier in a realistic and fun manner. Being a part of the excellent health care team at BSU is an exciting way for me to share this passion with our students. |

I'll be maintaining a dynamic website complete with content management system and guiding the developement of a new site that supports the visions and goals of HWC. I believe that creativity is best used in the service of clear goals and defined patterns. Communication is the most important component of this process as well as arts highest acheivement. |
![]() Name: Jennifer Aumeier Services Provided/Professional Philosophy: Working as a licensed massage therapist in combination with a bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, my goal is to provide a natural form of health care and pain management. Client education is a key component to compliance with any health issue. Empowering my clients through education and insight to improve their unique health and wellness needs is the spotlight of my practice. In addition to practicing medical massage, I also teach massage related workshops for Health, Wellness and Counseling Services. Special interests include; deep tissue, trigger point therapy, facilitated stretching and pregnancy massage. Acting as a resource for information on flexibility, strength and relaxation exercise is a favorite part of my job. |
![]() Name: Pepper Dobson Services Provided/Professional Philosophy: As a massage therapist for Health, Wellness and Counseling Services (HWC), I am pleased to provide medical massage and facilitate new awareness through educating clients to be responsive to the dimensions of the mind, body and spirit. Since 1996, I have studied the art and sciences of massage therapy, reflexology, iridology, kinesiology, manual lymphatic drainage, shiatsu and other complimentary modalities. Working for HWC is a fantastic way to share this knowledge and skills developed that foster and support well-being.
