Internships
Pre- and Post-Graduate Counseling Internships
The internship program at Counseling Services offers a full range of training and development with two levels of internship positions; Pre-Graduate Trainees and Post-Graduate Interns. We offer high quality clinical experiences for Pre-Graduate Trainees completing their master’s program internship requirements in counseling, psychology and social work, and Post-Graduates working toward advanced licensure. The Post-Graduate internship position is a stipend position.
All internship positions have the opportunity to experience supervision from a variety of theoretical orientations. Trainees and Interns have the opportunity to have individual supervision with two different supervisors, as they change supervisors mid year, group supervision with the internship coordinator is offered on a weekly basis, discussions and educational training seminars are offered on a weekly basis, and Trainees and Interns have access to consult with any and all members of the senior counseling staff through individual consultations and through our weekly clinical staff meeting.
We embrace a model of diversity in service delivery. Trainees and Interns have the opportunity to participate in presenting at regional conferences, providing campus and community wide outreach, individual counseling, couples counseling, and group counseling.
If these opportunities and challenges sound like the kind of training program you are looking for, we would encourage you to apply.
