Fees

Access Fees:
Access to Medical Services at the Health & Wellness Center is based on enrollment status. BSU students pre-pay the Health Fee as part of their tuition and fees each semester. Students not enrolled in summer sessions continue to be eligible for health services throughout the summer, however, they do not have to pay the $34.50 health fee until they actually need to access services (exception: health fee is not charged for prescription refills). Visit fees are outlined separately below.

Visit Fees:
Call the Health & Wellness Center to check for current fees for medical exams, procedures, etc. For SHIP enrollees, fees for services provided at the Health & Wellness Center are covered at 100% (some laboratory services may incur a separate charge—call for details). Coverage varies with other insurance companies. Check with your company for exact details of coverage of fees. Uninsured patients will be charged the full fee for the service, and payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made with the business office. The Health & Wellness Center will not turn away any BSU student because of their inability to pay.

Missed Appointment Fees:
If you must cancel your visit, please call 426-1459 at least 24 hours prior to the appointment, or as soon as possible for appointments made on the same day. We would like to use unused appointment slots for fellow students who may be waiting to be seen at the Health & Wellness Center. Depending on the appointment type not cancelled, you will be charged a $10-$70 no-show fee.
