"Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it." ~Lou Holtz
Dan Timberlake, MBA, Ph.D.In counseling, I work to understand how each person creates meaning in their life and I join them in figuring out how they accentuate their happiness. At Boise State Counseling Services our clients are usually managing a variety of roles: student, employee, parent, romantic partner, brother/sister, friend, son/daughter, etc. When a person seeks counseling it is often because they are dissatisfied with how things are going in one of their roles. I listen and try to understand the situation and we collaboratively develop a plan for improving things. I try to help people develop a sense of empowerment by assisting them in identifying and learning to apply their greatest strengths to the problems they are addressing.
