Bucktoothed and dragon-headed, her body either humped like a camel or serpentine with yellowish scales, Sharlie of Payette Lake is said to feed on the drunks who fall out of boats. “We believe in Sharlie because no one has ever been able to prove she does not exist,” said Tom Grote of McCall, a Star News reporter. “Until that time, we will assume she is real.”
