Each building is a reminder that Boise, an immigrant city, has long been a cultural crossroad and surprisingly diverse. |
Boise State offers historical tours and workshops through the summer Desert Studies Institute. Based at Celebration Park south of Boise, where the Snake River dissects the Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, the institute provides a unique setting for interactive teaching. Historical subjects include fire making, dam building, homesteading, and the Oregon Trail. Desert Studies Institute Idaho’s first residential historic preservation law ...
