Lesson plans for the classroom
Russ Thurow, of the USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station in Boise, created these two PowerPoint lessons for elementary students. The first lesson presents Idaho Fish. Students will learn about native and exotic species, their characteristics, behaviors, and habitats. The second lesson focuses specifically on fish habitats and how humans may affect them. Both lessons feature colorful photos, fun fish facts and insightful information for classroom discussion.
