Designed, built and maintained by inmates, the Dining Hall is a symbol of inmate ingenuity. The Dining Hall is also a testament to the inmates’ destructiveness. In March 1973, inmates destroyed the Hall, which was designed by inmate George Hamilton in the 1890s.
