Honors College

Activities

ActivitiesCo-curricular activities are an important part of the honors experience at Boise State. The Honors College recognizes that much of your education occurs beyond the walls of the classroom. Your ideas are shaped by your experiences. We encourage our students to participate in an array of travel, social, cultural, and service activities. Begin your involvement by participating in the Honors College fall orientation and activities. You'll learn and make new friends.

Many of our activities showcase Idaho’s abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. Honors students participate in white water rafting, hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Some have been to Moab, Utah, Mexico, and Washington, D.C. for spring break trips.

Service is a rewarding part of college life. The Honors Student Association is committed to lending a hand. You may devote your energies to various causes: human rights, hunger and homelessness, women’s issues, and tutoring programs.

Downtime is essential for the successful college student. To relieve stress, students have cheered the Idaho Steelheads at a hockey game, picnicked at the Shakespeare Festival, and relished sumptuous end-of-the-semester banquets.

Boise boasts nightlife and culture. Honors Students attend plays, Broadway musicals, museum and gallery openings, the ballet, philharmonic, and opera.

Boise offers the best of both worlds: the energy of a capital city and access to some of the country's most pristine wilderness. Here, you will forge lasting friendships, become part of a community of scholars, and enjoy abundant leadership opportunities. Come join us!
