Honors College

Housing

Driscoll HallDriscoll Hall houses the Honors College. Residential facilities are combined with teaching and administrative space to create a sense of community that integrates all major aspects of college life.

The lounge is home to gatherings — often accompanied by pizza — that includes cultural, intellectual, and entertaining presentations which spark stimulating discussions for honors students. Near other residence halls and the academic center of campus, Driscoll Hall is bordered on the north by the Boise River and Julia Davis Park.

Many campus facilities are within easy walking distance of Driscoll Hall, including the Albertson Library, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, the Student Recreation Center and the Student Union, with the Table Rock Cafe dining room for residence hall students.

Driscoll's main lounge has a marble fireplace opposite a wall of well-stocked oak bookshelves. Music from the piano fills the lounge and adjacent Honors College offices with strains of classical and popular music throughout the day. Downstairs is the kitchen area where students prepare popcorn and other snacks. Each student room is also networked so that students with personal computers are connected to the World Wide Web.
