Job Description:
The Program Assistant is a vital part of the Living-Learning Communities Program. These students work closely with the faculty members and residence life staff to implement community development events geared toward the Residential College, Global Village, or our new community, Lifetime Recreation. PA’s live on the same floor with the residents of their community. It is anticipated that program planning and meeting attendance will be 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled as a full-time student at Boise State University with a minimum of 12 credits (undergraduate) or 9 credits (graduate) taken on a semester basis
- Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5 (undergraduates) or 3.0 (graduates).
- Must have attained Sophomore status or higher (26 or more credits) upon job start date
- Must be in good standing with the Boise State and University Housing.
- Must be able to attend all training sessions throughout the academic year.
- Must commit to serving for a complete academic year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience living in on a college campus in a residential setting.
- Solid communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational ability.
- Highly personable.
- Experience serving as a leader in a high school, college, or employment setting where you were seen as a role model and provided guidance to others.
Remuneration:
The Program Assistant will receive a single room and a meal plan. The total value of the Program Assistant contract for the academic year is anticipated to be approximately $7,100.
