SafeConnect: Installing SafeConnect

Install and connect with SafeConnect

Mac and Linux Users: Currently Mac and Linux users are not required to run SafeConnect, simply open your browser and login when prompted to gain access to the internet.

Windows Users: If you are running a Microsoft Windows operating system(7, Vista, XP), you must download, install, and run SafeConnect to access the internet.

If either of these requirements is not fulfilled you will only have temporary access to the internet. Make sure that you either have your computer plugged in to a wired connection or connected to a wireless network. Open an internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox). The page will redirect to a Boise State authentication page, where you will be prompted to login using your BroncoWeb username and password.

Once you have logged in you will be asked to INSTALL POLICY KEY. You will only have to do this once.

SafeConnect installation will begin. Please select Run.

Select Install.

Select OK.

SafeConnect will scan your computer for a valid anti-virus program and for security patches. If the scan fails, you will be directed to a web page to help you fix the problem. If you have problems setting up SafeConnect or getting past temporary access call your front desk to set an appointment for a Housing IT tech to help you.
