Q: I plugged my computer in with an Ethernet cable and I can't get on the Internet.
A: First, insure you have followed the connecting to the Internet instructions carefully (Internet Access Insructions). Depending on which residence hall or apartment you are in you may have more then one port in your room.
University Square and Suites: There are 4 ports in each room, only one is active, plug your computer into each port and wait about one minute before trying to connect to a web page. The port in the living room is a phone line and this cannot be converted to network.
Keiser & Taylor Hall: There are two ports in each room, one is a phone and the other is a network port. Plug your computer into each port and wait about one minute before trying to connect to a web page. University Village & University Inn: Your connection is wireless, please see our Internet Access Instruction page to connect to the wireless network.

Q: What is Clean Access and how do I install it?
A: Clean Access is a program required to gain Internet Access on the Boise State University Network. Clean Access only ensures you have your computer's antivirus and Windows Updates up to date. Click here for more information about installing and connecting to Clean Access.
Q: Where can I purchase a cable to connect to the Internet.
A: The cable that connects from your computer to an Internet source (wall jack/router/modem) is called an Ethernet cable. You can purchase an Ethernet cable at the BroncoTec store located in the Student Union Building. You can also purchase
Ethernet cables at Best Buy and RJM.
