Institutional Analysis, Assessment and Reporting
Mission Statement
To support the mission of Boise State University through data analysis and reports that are responsive, effective and widely available to its internal and external audiences.
Goals
- Produce and distribute official university reports in a reliable and efficient manner
- Provide high-quality research in areas of university-wide concern
- Develop and publish measures of progress in meeting the goals set forth in the university's strategic plan
- Provide technical assistance to faculty, administrators, and staff in evaluating the effectiveness of their programs and activities
Responsibilities
- Survey graduates on an annual basis to obtain information that is useful in evaluating the effectiveness of their education at Boise State
- Serve as evaluators for grants with heavy data needs
- Help with needs assessment in the development of new programs
- Consult on survey development
- Conduct surveys with a broad institutional impact and summarize the results
- Provide supporting data as part of grant applications
- Coordinate the assessment of general education
- Carry out studies on important institutional issues
- Produce an annual fact book that can be accessed on-line
- Provide the data for mandated state and federal reports (PSR and IPEDS)
- Respond to survey requests from external organizations
