Location: The Long-billed Curlew Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) between Middleton and Emmett Idaho.
Namesake: We asked the Community Cub Scout Pack (#255) of Middleton to help us give her a name. The pack voted and came up with the name “Venus”. We were surprised by their choice at first, but since Venus can mean “bright queen of the sky” we think the name is pretty fitting for a migratory bird like a curlew!
