It is my pleasure to welcome you to the homepage of Internal Audit and Advisory Services at Boise State University. Internal auditing as adopted by the Institute Of Internal Auditors, Inc. is "an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes." Accordingly, Internal Audit and Advisory Services is established at Boise State University as a service to management and the Idaho State Board of Education with a mission to provide the highest quality auditing and consulting services possible to the University community in the attainment of the University's goals and objectives and in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc., Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Code of Ethics. We have designed this page to serve as a springboard for information. We invite you to browse highlighted best practices and self assessment tools, follow links to professional organizations in higher education, learn from past audits and newsletters, stay abreast of emerging issues, have access to State Board of Education as well as Boise State University policies and procedures, and a great deal more all at your fingertips. We also want to demystify the role of Internal Audit and Advisory Services and increase the lines of communications. We strive to continuously update our page with new information. So, take some time and explore what we have to offer. Enjoy your visit and do visit us again. |
