All students who apply to Boise State by the early application
deadline, possess an outstanding academic record, and who are not residents
of Idaho are automatically considered for a Gem scholarship. This scholarship
waives the total cost of non-resident tuition (approximately $3300 per
semester). Undergraduate Students Applying to Boise State Boise State offers many scholarships for outstanding
new and transfer students. To be eligible to apply for undergraduate scholarships,
you must meet the following criteria: Application file must be complete
by February 15th and you must have a minimum cumulative GPA (Grade Point
Average) of 3.0.
The International Admissions Office awards five scholarships, valued at $6,600 per year, to new freshman or transfer students applying for the fall semester. To be considered you must meet the following qualifications: Entering students must have the equivalent to a U.S. GPA of 3.0 and application file must be complete by February 15th.
Continuing International Student Scholarships The International Programs Office awards 13 scholarships each year to continuing international students. To be considered, you must have completed at least 2 semesters at Boise State and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Current students are notified of the application process and requirements each spring during the month of April.
A scholarship will be awarded annually to one international
student who displays commitment to involvement in campus life at Boise
Sate University.
Departmental Scholarships The academic departments and colleges also offer scholarships.
Each academic division is responsible for separate awards, and most do
not have separate applications.
Graduate students may apply for a graduate or research
assistantship at the same time they apply for admission to the Graduate
College. The deadline to apply for an assistantship is determined by the
department. |
