Support the ProjectMelville's Marginalia Online is a non-profit, long-term editorial project devoted to the reading and intellect of one of America's greatest writers. Your tax-deductible donation to the project will help fund the training of student interns, the purchase of equipment and software, and travel to locations where Melville's surviving books are housed. Along with acknowledging your gift by mail, the project will be pleased to list your name and/or company in the "Acknowledgments" section of its web site. To make a gift in the amount of your choosing, simply follow the steps for giving explained below. Donors wishing to supply full financial support for the editing of a particular author, copy, or set among Melville's surviving books (i.e., Melville's copy of Emerson's Essays or his set of Shakespeare's Works) should contact the General Editor, who will estimate expenses and determine a timeline for completion. During production the General Editor will keep donors informed about the progress of designated editions. Finally, in "Acknowledgments" the names of donors will appear in association with the author, copy, or set they have funded.
