Dr. Christopher Raynes

has been the featured soloist with groups ranging from the Tucson Symphony Orchestra to the Orpheus Choir in London, England. He has performed in many parts of the United States and in England as well as locally with the Boise Philharmonic and Opera Idaho. An experienced teacher and conductor, Dr. Raynes most recently taught at Drake University before moving to Boise. He is currently a member of the voice faculty at Boise State University and is the director of the Opera Idaho Resident Company. He holds a bachelor's degree from Mount Union College and both a Master's and Doctorate degrees from the University of Arizona and is active as a teacher, conductor, soloist, clinician and adjudicator.
