Percussion Ensemble
The Percussion Ensemble and Keyboard Percussion Ensemble are important parts of the percussion program at Boise State University. In conjunction with the preparation of music for public performance, students acquire a first-hand knowledge of phrasing, implement selection, musical style and interpretation, and repertoire. Students are also encouraged to compose original music and/or arrange or adapt existing music for the ensembles. Percussion students have the opportunity to perform as members of a wide variety of other ensembles: Symphonic Winds, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, BlueThunder Marching Band, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and various other chamber groups.
Limited scholarships and graduate assistantships are available to
qualified students.
