OIT Computer Labs

Employment Opportunities

Interested in working as a Lab Tech in the Computer Labs? This is the page to check out periodically to learn of employment opportunities in the BSU Student Computer Labs in MP-121 & ET-239. The labs generally employ 20-25 interested students for various shifts seven days each week. Work Study Funds are desirable, but not required. When hiring a new lab tech, I look at the following areas:

  • Communications Ability
  • Technical Computer Skills & Experience
  • Customer Service Skills & Experience
  • Positive, Outgoing Personality
  • Ability to Effectively Handle Stress
  • You do not need to be a "computer genius"

If you have some or all of the above skills and experience, and are interested in challenging and meaningful employment that will give you excellent skills and experience for life after graduation, please download the following two documents (in Adobe Acrobat PDF format), and return the application to Stephen Henderson in the MP-121 Computer Lab.

* Job Description (In Adobe PDF Format)
* Application (In Adobe PDF Format)

For additional information, please call Stephen Henderson at 426-4042, (dial 4042 on any campus phone.) The Computer Lab is an equal opportunity employer.
