Osher Institute Faculty Grant Program

Osher Faculty Grant Program Application Information

The mission of Boise State University’s Osher Institute Faculty Grant Program is to promote research and scholarly projects at Boise State University. A secondary objective is to engage university faculty in community outreach efforts via the Osher Institute. 

Eligibility

  1. Any full time tenured or tenure-track faculty member may apply.
  2. The program is open to members of any department.
  3. Each applicant must have support of his or her Department Chair.

Grant recipients may use the grant to forward their scholarly research by any means described in the project application and approved by the selection committee. Student involvement is encouraged.

Grant recipients will be provided with support for their research, project, or scholarly work in the form of up to $5,000 in grant funding, to support the submitted budget. Smaller grant applications are welcome. Multiple applicants collaborating on a grant application is acceptable. Also acceptable is utilization of this grant to compliment a project receiving other grants.

The proposal deadline has passed for this year.

  • Jesse Barber, Department of Biological Sciences, and Greg Kaltenecker, Idaho Bird Observatory director
  • Elisa Barney Smith, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Steven Olsen-Smith, Department of English
  • Juliette Tinker, Department of Biological Sciences
