An Advisory Board drawn from the membership provides assistance to the Institute administrator, and members of the Board head various committees including one for programing and another for membership.
Committees are drawn together for specific purpose and for a limited time. Committee members are volunteers from the membership. Others have volunteered to help as greeters at sessions and events and some have occasionally assist in the office. We encourage members to become more involved in the Institute, and we would welcome your participation. Phone or speak to the director, Ellie McKinnon or a board member if you would like to volunteer.
The Institute is examining ways of engaging our membership more deeply with efforts related to identifying potential lectures and classes, planning and execution of upcoming events, developing new opportunities, membership expansion and more.
We will announce plans and invite member participation through our newsletter and this web site. Please stay tuned, and please consider helping the Osher Institute move forward.
Currently members are invited to participate in an annual planning luncheon in spring.
