An Advisory Board drawn from the membership provides assistance to the Institute Director, and members of the Board head various committees such as programing and membership. Committee members are volunteers from the membership, and they meet briefly for a specific purpose.
For a complete description of the Advisory Board membership responsibilities, download the Advisory Board Description (Word document).
If you are interested in becoming an Advisory Board Member, please download the Advisory Board Application Form (Word document), complete it and return it by mid-April, to emckinno@boisestate.edu or mail it to: Boise State University, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, 220 E. Parkcenter Blvd., Boise, ID 83706-3940.
Volunteer activities allow Institute members to become more involved outside of the classroom setting and to connect with other Institute members. Opportunities include greeting members as they arrive for classes, assisting with special events, serving on the program/curriculum committee, and leading a Special Interest Group.
We would welcome your assistance and participation, whether you have only a half hour before a class or numerous hours to share. Buddy Howell, our Volunteer Coordinator, will be delighted to provide you with options that meet your interests and your schedule.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call Buddy at (208) 426-3718.
