There Are Incentives
Guaranteed Ride Home
If you carpool, vanpool, ride a bus, walk or bike to BSU, you qualify for the Guaranteed Ride Home Program. To get started, register with Commuteride. Registration forms are available at the BSU parking & Transportation Services Office. If you have a valid emergency and need to go home, just call a taxi, pay the fare and submit the receipt to Commuteride for reimbursement. When registered, you are eligible for up to six rides per year or a $300 maximum benefit per year (whichever occurs first). Guaranteed Ride Home Program
Ride the BUS
ValleyRide (Boise bus system) has been providing service
to Boise State University for more than six years.
Registered BSU students, staff and faculty may utilize ValleyRide,
free of charge, by showing their BSU ID card with BUS Sticker
(available at no-charge from BSU Parking Services and the Student Union
Information Desk). This service may be used Monday through Saturday,
whether traveling to school, downtown, the mall or any other destination
serviced by ValleyRide. On most routes, daily service begins at 5:15 a.m.
and stops as late as 7:40 p.m. On Saturday, service begins at 7:45 a.m.
and continues until 6:10 p.m.
Bikes on the Bus
All ValleyRide buses are equipped with bike racks. Passengers are welcome to utilize the racks.
Double-up with a Carpool Partner
If you need help finding a carpool partner to BSU, contact Commuteride for a free carpool matching list. Names are available from most cities in southwestern Idaho to the Boise area. Carpool's are always voluntary, you can join or quit as needed. You save money on car expenses and help reduce the parking shortage. For more information please call 345-POOL.

Commuteride offers a free trial ride. Vans serve BSU from neighboring cities surrounding Boise. You can also make free connections with THE BUS at the downtown transfer site to complete your trip to BSU. Bronco Shuttle
Another service provided to everyone on campus is the
Bronco Shuttle which travels from one end of campus to the other. The
shuttle operates from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
and 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. During peak hours (9:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m.) the shuttle frequency is approximately every eight minutes.
During non-peak shuttle hours (5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) shuttle frequency
is approximately every fifteen minutes. The last loop of the Bronco
Shuttle will begin in the East Stadium Parking Lot at 9:00 p.m. Monday
through Thursday and 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bronco Shuttle is in
operation only during the fall and spring semesters. It does not operate
on school holidays, breaks, or during the summer.
