Permit Registration Form

Parking Registration

Requirements: Everyone who applies for a permit to park a vehicle in a permit required lot on the Boise State campus, must complete the registration process with Parking & Transportation Services before that vehicle is parked in a campus permit lot.

Necessary Paperwork:

– A completed vehicle registration form, to include correct license plate number and accurate description of the vehicle or vehicles.

– A Boise State University student, faculty or staff ID card or other proof of status, and

– Acceptable form of payment (We accept Cash, Checks*, Credit/Debit cards as well as Bronco Bucks) *Returned checks will cause permits to be considered invalid*

Signing a vehicle registration form certifies that all information given is accurate.

If one does not give accurate information on the vehicle registration form, the permit will become invalid and/or confiscated, the vehicle will be ticketed and/or impounded, and/or parking privileges revoked. The individual agrees to read and comply with current parking and vehicle control regulations.
Permits remain the property of Boise State University Parking Services and may not be reassigned or sold for any reason by an individual. Parking privileges are revocable at any time.

It is the responsibility of the individual who changes vehicles and/or license plates after initial registration to submit changes promptly to Parking Services prior to permits being displayed on those vehicles. Updates and changes may be made by U.S. mail, phone, fax, or in person at the Parking Services Office. Your Boise State University identification number must be included on all requested changes.

It is the responsibility of a person who terminates employment or student status to notify the Department of Parking & Transportation Services.

For your own protection, please advise your state motor vehicle division of every vehicle sale or trade to avoid continued responsibility for subsequent citations issued to the sold/traded vehicle.

Parking permits shall be removed from a motor vehicle under the following circumstances:

  • change in vehicle ownership;
  • permit expiration;
  • receipt of a new permit for the same time period;
  • vehicle/permit owner terminates association with Boise State;
  • cancellation of permit/decal for cause;

Duration of Permits:

Annual and weekend parking permits are valid on an academic year basis on the first day of each fall semester. Some special permits are valid for twelve calendar months from date of purchase; others are valid for varying periods. See the appropriate section pertaining to the desired permit type in "Special Permits" for details.

Faculty and Staff - Payroll Deduction:

To take advantage of the payroll deduction option requires a "BSU Payroll Deduct Authorization" form, (available from Parking Services).
